ABOUT THIS PROJECT
We purchased this 2-bedroom, 1-bath bungalow from its original owner to save it from being razed by a developer. We imagined its future owners as a young family that wanted to be in the Five Points neighborhood in Raleigh with an easy walk to restaurants and parks, and an overall cool Raleigh vibe. We left the existing structure intact as our starting point, gutted where necessary, and doubled the footprint with an addition that includes a larger open kitchen, dining area, additional living area and master suite on the main floor. We added storage throughout and turned a small footprint into an incredibly efficient home for the way families live today. And we got it right. This home went under contract on its first day on the market.
