ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Our clients needed to tweak the kitchen and update the finishes in their 1920s home, and the powder room needed to gain an entrance separate from the mudroom.  The mudroom and powder rooms received a complete redo with custom cabinetry throughout to maximize every inch of storage.  The kitchen flow was solid, but the original island housed an overhead vent that the six-foot-five husband hit more than once.  We crafted an entirely new island (with downdraft!), turned the unused desk into a wine bar, painted the existing perimeter cabinets and gave them a hardware upgrade, and installed hard-wearing quartz counters.  The best kind of scope creep gave way to the gleaming new primary bath.
